The average age of a father in the United States is now 41,
with women having an average age of 30.2 years old when they give birth to
their first child. Who are these dads? They are working class, non-college educated
men. The following demographic is often associated with the term – Baby Boomer.
However, this is a broad term that does not represent a majority of fathers in
the United States. The fact is that there are more than 9 million dads who have
become parents for the very first time since 2000 and most of these fathers are
